Though educated as a geologist and oceanographer at Columbia University, life’s unpredictable little twists and turns led me to begin designing jewelry in 1988. A love of wildlife and a fascination with mythology have influenced both the choice of subject and the style of presentation: most of the designs are animals, which I attempt to capture at an imaginary moment of transformation from fantasy to reality, a point in time when a creature is half dream, half real, as if frozen between two worlds. A magazine once called my design style “Deco-Gothic”. Although not consciously chosen, they are artistically my two favorite periods.
What you are about to view on this Site includes many of the original designs as well as those that have evolved over the years. New pieces are added periodically, so please do come back now and then. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy today’s visit. Thank you for coming here.
